A little bit about me
I live at the edge of the breathtaking Peak District in Chesterfield, and my journey began when I took a leap of faith after over 20 years of impactful work in the charity sector. The move from bustling London to the serene countryside marked a significant period of transformation in my life, steering me towards retraining as a therapist with a focus on women's well-being.
My time working within the charity sector centred around supporting individuals facing various life challenges. While deeply meaningful, my work often involved helping people respond practically to their difficulties. After some time, I realised that I had a desire to not just help problem solve but I wanted to provide spaces to facilitate deeper, more sustainable healing,
Upon realising this, I decided that I wanted to become a therapist so I undertook a four year training course at The SPACE Academy in Sheffield where I received my diploma in integrative counselling and psychotherapy. Throughout my studies, I found myself drawn to female-centred therapy so when I qualified I opened up my private practice to create spaces for women to discover more about themselves, others and the world around them. This work has evolved to facilitate women in leadership roles, encouraging an embodied approach to their responsibilities, and has expanded to promote holistic well-being and cultural shifts within organisations
My story so far
While I love my work, I also cherish my downtime. Whether I'm reading a book in a cozy corner, indulging in a latte at my favourite coffee shop, or spending time at the rewilding project I work on with my family, I find joy in the simple pleasures. Our 20-acre land restoration project is a testament to our commitment to nature and sustainability and you will often finding me cutting the grass or taking a serene walk.
Beyond Work
Empowering Women
I offer compassionate and personalised therapy for women, grounded in a female-centred approach that addresses their unique challenges holistically. With a focus on empowerment, I provide a safe space for women to navigate their healing journeys and explore more about who they are. Through this process, women gain a deeper understanding of their identities and purposes. My one-on-one work is at the heart of my practice, and I am dedicated to fostering a space that can offer profound personal growth and well-being.
Leadership and Community
In 2022, I co-founded Embodied Leadership UK with the mission to promote a cultural shift towards holistic well-being for those in leadership roles and their wider teams. We work with individuals and partner with organisations to offer training and consultancy, encouraging a more embodied approach to leadership. Alongside this work, I have had the privilege of co-founding a network for women within my local community, facilitating their business growth and well-being.
Faith, Spirituality and Wellbeing
I offer support to organisations and groups dedicated to creating safe spaces for individuals to explore their faith, spirituality, and experiences within faith spaces. In one-on-one therapy sessions, I provide a compassionate and empowering environment where you can navigate these challenging transitions and tender experiences. For organisations, I offer training and consultancy to help facilitate and nurture faith spaces that feel safe for all who want to explore the depths of who they are.
